What is a chemical anchor – liquid anchor

Chemical anchors are an alternative to traditional installation. They are two-component synthetic resins that bond a metal element (bolt, threaded rod, periodic reinforcing bar) to the base. Chemical anchors are also called injection compounds, liquid or adhesive anchors and dowels.
This technology has appeared in recent years and quickly became the market leader due to its ease of use, high bond strength and excellent compatibility with porous and hollow materials. Adhesive anchors are used for installation near corners, installation of heavy structures, including vibrating structures, installation in hollow foundations, etc.

The working principle of a chemical anchor

The principle of operation of the liquid anchor is simple. A hole is drilled in the wall or floor, the diameter of which is 2-4 mm larger than the metal element. Then the hole is cleaned, the adhesive anchor is filled, and the metal anchor is placed there. The substance adheres tightly to the metal rod and base, filling all the roughness of the material and hardening.
